The Professor Q&A

Meet ASK kid Drew, a sweet, laid back little guy with a sunny attitude. We asked his mom, Candice, to tell us a bit more about him in this month's Kouargeous Kids feature.
-----
Do you mind sharing his diagnosis and stage of treatment?
Diagnosed with Wilm's Cell Tumor-Stage 3 in September of 2015; completed tx on 4/28/2016 and has been in remission ever since!

What does he like to do? What are his hobbies, interests?
He loves to make up songs, direct his toys in motion pictures, and philosophize. His nickname is "The Professor"

Is there an ASK program or party that he enjoys?
He has a great time at the ASK Christmas parties where Drew and his brother, Bryce, light up the dance floor!

And/or is there an ASK staff person (Katie, Tom David, Matt Bitsko) who he connected with and how have they been helpful?
Katie is always so cheerful and thoughtful.  You can help but smile when you see her...her energy is definitely contagious!

Anything else you’d like to tell folks about your amazing son?
He is a very humble, contemplative, and intuitive child. He keeps all of us grounded and reminds us to why we must always be in a position of gratitude.
-----
We're so lucky to know Drew and to see his big smiles which seem to fit perfectly with his big heart.
