Stories of Making Life Better for Children with Cancer

It's the most wonderful time of the year

A sackful of joys for ASK's girls and boys

You have given financial gifts, donated presents, and volunteered your time to make this holiday season a bright one for children who spend their time being cancer warriors and survivors.

Your kindness has allowed them to be what they should be. Children.

Children who get to go to a holiday party with their friends.  Children who get to eat cookies and sing their favorite holiday song.  Children who get to unwrap a new toy they love.

This morning, our First STEP Preschool party held its annual holiday party. While the class size is small, the fun was big.  We hope you enjoythe video of their special day.

There have been many other wonderful days this holiday season that were possible because of you.

Adopt-a-families loaded presents into their cars yesterday with grateful smiles knowing that Christmas morning will include a surprise to unwrap. The after-school programs in Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Colonial Heights have celebrated the season this week with games, giggles, and gifts.  A happy crowd of 83 families packed The Dominion Club on December 6th to see Santa at the annual ASK Holiday Party.

And, the children at the clinic who have been unable to attend the festivities will receive presents next week while the doctors and nurses enjoy a warm lunch.

We hope your hearts will be glowing knowing that you've turned what can be a stressful season into the most wonderful time of year. Thank you!
