Peyton and Natalie ASK'd,
Hallsley Answered

This summer Peyton Badura (pictured), rising James River HS senior, and Natalie Pollard, 2016 Virginia Tech graduate, showed us that kindness and compassion are at the heart of the Hallsley community through their You've Been ASK'd campaign.

Peyton and Natalie playfully challenged Hallsley residents to show their support for children with cancer by agreeing to "ASK" each other. Over 140 residents accepted the call to action, raising $7,300 to help make life better for kids with cancer. As a token of appreciation, Peyton and Natalie decked out participating homeowner yards with ASK'd signs and yellow ribbon as well as delivered an ASK kindness bear to their doorstep.

"My brother had a very good friend who was diagnosed with a brain cancer," answered Peyton regarding her involvement with ASK. "We did a great deal to help support him. I have grown to know many of the kids through ASK and am amazed and heartbroken by the number of kids who are diagnosed with cancer."

Many thanks to Peyton and Natalie for helping our community's youngest cancer patients and their families!
